AIGA student groups are a way of encouraging students to take the first step in demonstrating a commitment to their professional interest and assisting them in understanding the graphic design field. Students may join at the student level for only $50 a year, and receive discounted and free admission to two annual events with and for design students as well as professional events year-round.
An annual event, planned by student groups. Student leaders collaborate to host UNITE, including choosing the speaker, branding the event, marketing to the community and reaching out to business to coordinate a student raffle during the event.
Graduating design students may also participate in an end-of-year Portfolio Review, open to San Diego County students, and attended by San Diego’s leading design firms. We encourage undergrad students to attend Review as an observer to gain a better idea of what they are working towards.
