How to get your portfolio showcased on the chapter website.

If you visit sandiego.aiga.org you’ll notice that member portfolios are featured on the home page. (And in the sidebar on interior pages and in the portfolio section where people go to look for local designers.) Want to get in the action? The only thing you have to do is complete your AIGA member profile on Behance.

When you sign up as an AIGA member, you automatically receive a complimentary Behance profile. If you complete your profile and upload some work, it will appear on the AIGA Member Gallery on Behance and the larger Behance network. Your page will also automatically rotate on the San Diego chapter website, sidebar on the interior pages and in the portfolio section.

Why the Behance profiles helps with your online presence.

1. See and be seen. Behance is where people go to find creatives—designers, art directors, videographers, photographers and copywriters.

2. It’s good for SEO. You can link your profile back to your personal website which helps your search engine ranking for your portfolio site.

3. Synch profiles. You can sync AIGA Behance profile with your existing Behance profile if you already have one.

4. Include your resume. You can include both a searchable web page or a downloadable PDF resume.
