Students, as you prepare for your design career search, this is your chance to get invaluable critiques on your portfolio by top design professionals in the San Diego Tijuana community. By attending, you will also expand your network of professional contacts that will be valuable as you research the industry and look for jobs.

Learn firsthand what potential employers might specifically require of newly graduated desingers and get guidance on how your portfolio can help you get that all important first big job. Tune into the advice from people actively working in the industry to discuss trends, needs, and potentially even find your future mentor or even employer.

About Marc O'Brien

Marc O'Brien is an award-winning creative strategist and designer working at the intersection of design, business, and climate.

He started his career working on a variety of social impact projects. He collaborated with a number of local communities, non-profits, and various organizations to implement solutions and ventures within a wide range of areas such as technology, public education, health, and economic development.

Since 2016, Marc has been working in the climate solutions space as a designer and strategist, helping climate orgs achieve business goals, brand expression, and human engagement. In 2019, Marc co-founded Climate Designers, a global community of designers across every industry committed to climate action. He is also adjunct faculty at California College of the Arts in San Francisco.
