Hike the Embarcadero & Downtown San Diego

This event is free for everyone. We do ask that you RSVP so we have an accurate count.

Distance: 4.5 miles (3 hours)
Difficulty: Easy
Dog-Friendly: Yes (leashed)
Scenery: The San Diego Bay and City/Urban

We will head South along the Embarcadero Pier towards Seaport Village, taking in the sights of both Marina Parks North and South along the San Diego Bay. We'll walk across the Harbor Drive Pedestrian Bridge by Petco Park, venturing through East Village towards the Gaslamp area via Broadway to Kettner Blvd by the Santa Fe Train Depot back to W. Grape Street (close to where we started). And for those revelers so inclined and are able to join in the fun: the timing of this adventure should coincide with the location and start of the amazing 35th Annual celebration of Artwalk Art and Culture Festival in Little Italy at 11:00 am.  https://artwalksandiego.org/missionfederal/

There is plenty of free street parking on Pacific Highway if you get there early, but if you park in any of the lots or on the street that have parking meters, be mindful of the time paid for and expiration!

Meet at:
1800 N. Harbor Drive and W. Grape Street Pier
Across from Waterfront Park/Administration Bldg (look for the AIGA sign)

Please wear good shoes. Sun protection is recommended. Bring plenty of water and a snack. Remember that you hike at your own risk.
