For the Love of Letters – Beginners Workshop

For the Love of Letters is a two-part Summer Calligraphy Workshop. In the beginners workshop, you will learn how to write in the traditional Copperplate style, as well as understand what makes Copperplate beautiful. The beginners workshop will focus on lower-case basic strokes, letters, numbers and spacing. This workshop will run for three weeks, one night per week (Thursdays, June 12, 19 & 26 2014)

Water and a light snack will be provided for a break, there is no food allowed in the USD classrooms, so please plan accordingly.

If you complete the beginners workshop you will be ready for the intermediate class that follows in July.

You can skip the beginners workshop and enter the intermediate workshop if you have had prior experience in dip pen and ink lettering or if you are self-taught and would like help improving where you are at with your skills.
