Breakfast Club Hometown Heroes – June 2018

In a city where design thinking, design for good, and good design is at the heart of all new projects, live a group of professionals who have implementing this process for over 25 years. Our local design leaders are opening up their studios to talk shop with AIGA San Diego Members, like you.

As designers—or applied artists—we navigate a complex web of motivations. Join us to learn how John has balanced client priorities with creative potential in three long-term relationships. Then, share your own recipe for life in design. We’ll end the morning with a tour of our coffin-warehouse-turned- creative-space.

John Ball is the principal and creative director of San Diego creative agency MiresBall. He brings more than 30 years of experience and a passion for clarity and simplicity to his work every day—directing identity, packaging, and communications programs for global brands, category leaders, and innovative non-profits. Besides industry recognition from organizations such as AIGA, Communication Arts, and Graphis, John’s work was selected for inclusion in the California Design Biennial at the Pasadena Museum of Art.
