AIGA San Diego is pleased to promote the following community event as we think it may be of interest to our members; this event is not hosted by AIGA.
Recent Census statistics reveal over 57 million Americans have physical, mental, visual, or hearing disabilities; these impairments impact their ability to enjoy the Internet. Join SDXD in welcoming local thought leaders Angela and Cris Noble of Noble Intent Studio and authors of The Ultimate Guide to Website Accessibility for our June event!
Building accessible websites ensures usability by the broadest number of people. Beyond the ethical benefits, having an accessible website also drives business success – resulting in protection from lawsuits around ADA compliance, improving user experience, and boosting SEO.
During this interactive workshop, you’ll learn:
- Why website accessibility matters and the impact it has on business bottom lines
- How to design and build inclusive websites to provide a better user experience
- How to implement simple changes to create websites that can be accessed by people of all abilities – ensuring usability for assistive technologies, ADA compliance, and SEO best practices
When a website’s content is available to everyone and can be used by anyone — regardless of their ability — website accessibility is achieved. Join SDXD in helping to create a more inclusive internet, one website at a time!

Angela Noble accumulated nearly a decade of experience in-house and at agencies doing both print and web design before launching Noble Intent Studio full-time in 2017. Cris Noble made a career switch from process engineering to web development after falling in love with design shortly after meeting Angela and beginning to help her tackle the coding portion of her freelance website project back in 2011. Cris gained experience as a web developer for seven years rising through the software engineering ranks at both startups such as Classy.org and Fortune 500 companies such as Intuit before joining Noble Intent Studio full-time in 2019.
