About AIGA San Diego Tijuana
The San Diego Tijuana chapter of AIGA, the professional organization for design, has been a dynamic contributor to the local creative community since 1987. The chapter is part of the national network founded in 1914 in New York City as the American Institute of Graphic Arts, which has since changed its name to “AIGA, the professional association for design” in 2005. Visit the national website here.
HOW and Print magazines have cited AIGA San Diego Tijuana as “one of the hottest communities for design in the nation.” Our local events provide educational, career enhancement and social opportunities for professional designers, educators, students and design enthusiasts in various fields including graphic design, UX design, photography, illustration, web development and more.
Our board meetings take place on the second Monday of each month. At least once per year we conduct open board meetings where all are welcome to attend. Announcements about open board meetings are sent via email to our newsletter mailing list.
Attend an event.
You don’t have to be a member to attend AIGA San Diego Tijuana programming. Our happy hour mixers and hikes are free to everyone and are a great way to meet other creatives. Non-members usually pay a higher entrance rate for events like workshops and speaker talks.
