Before getting started, please review the general duties provided by San Diego chapter leadership, below. In which areas do you see yourself getting involved? Where can you apply your expertise and experience? Where do you see yourself learning and growing?
Finance(Treasurer) The Treasurer provides oversight and management for all financial related material for the Chapter, to ensure that budgets and financial tracking is maintained across various efforts. Works with the CPA and bookkeeper on financial management and helps the executive team maintaining its financial goals.
Development (Corporate Partnerships + Sponsor Relations) Fosters long term relationships with outside organizations that can provide financial and in-kind support for Chapter programming and activities.
Communications (Content Development + Social Media + Email Marketing) These strategic roles are highly collaborative and are pivotal to the success of all programming efforts (print/digital). Responsible for our written and visual communication, ensuring that the voice of our chapter is professional and engaging. Includes the management of the Chapter’s social media accounts, website, helping keep our membership and community informed on Chapter activities.
Event Programming (Professional + Cross-border Relations + Y Design Conference) Plans, supports, develops and produces quality and profitable programming; works closely with teams to produce successful programs; oversees and assists with planning events, track event budgets; and assists in securing speakers, sponsors and venues.
Design for Good (Diversity + Equity + Inclusion + Women Lead) Optimizes programming content and advises team members on best practices that elevate awareness for a more inclusive community across all chapter initiatives.
Design Education (Early Career Development + Portfolio + UNITE) Promotes and expands regional student and faculty participation in the design community, serving as a liaison between the Chapter and AIGA San Diego Student Chapters and Faculty Advisors.
Membership/Community Outreach (Membership Soirees + Community Connections) Responsible for encouraging new memberships and supporting our existing membership. Directs membership campaigns, manages active and prospective membership volunteer lists. Connects with other organizations and coordinates special community events.
Volunteer Roles (Committee Members + Support Teams + Contributors) We are always looking for qualified and passionate individuals to participate in chapter-wide initiatives.
