They came out in droves – both design students and professionals – for the AIGA San Diego Student Porftfolio Review.
“I heard many reviewers commenting about how high the bar has been raised, every single student who exhibited at the review did a fabulous job,” said MaeLin Levine, AIGA San Diego Education Chair, AIGA Fellow and Visual Asylum partner.
A big congratulations to all the students and educators who helped prepare the students for this experience. Many students walked away from the review with solid job and internship opportunities, which is really what the review is all about. A few changes helped make the event more student centric including early setup the night before, a special “Student Choice” award, along with recognition of the educators in this design community that give so much of themselves, year after year.
“It is so San Diego to have folks tripping over themselves to volunteer to attend and or sponsor categories,” said MaeLin. “We’ve always been about community, and the annual Student Portfolio Review is the quintessential AIGA San Diego spirit at work.”
