About Scott Robinson Scott is the founder of FreshForm (www.freshform.com), an experience design consultancy that leverages strategic design, design thinking and customer experience principles to grow and differentiate brands. Scott is intensely interested in the intersection of design, technology, business and human behavior in the digital age. Scott is a champion for the San Diego region and the President of the Design Forward Alliance (www.designforwardsd.com), a nonprofit organization that promotes and advocates for the importance of Human-Centered Design in helping advance San Diego as a premier city for business, education, and enjoyment.
Topic: Is San Diego a World Design Capital? The World Design Organization (wdo.org) in Montreal designates a city every two years as the World Design Capital (http://wdo.org/programmes/wdc/). As a way to unite the San Diego design community and positively impact the broader region using Human-Centered Design, the Design Forward Alliance is spearheading an initiative to apply for the 2024 designation. What will it take to earn the designation? Do we have what it takes? Is it something this community even wants?
