San Diego Latino Film Festival‘s Call for Posters Competition is open! Don’t miss this opportunity to promote your design, artwork, photography & vision for our 34th edition in 2027! This is a great opportunity for graphic designers, design students, photographers, artists, and emerging designers to get their work seen worldwide!

The winner gets $1,500 & 10 finalists each get a FILM PASS for our 34th San Diego Latino Film Festival (March 17-21, 2027). EARLIER Deadline this year: October 1, 2026. Winner announced: November 2026.

Are you entering the 34th SD Latino Film Festival poster competition? We want to give you the tools for success!

Join AIGA San Diego Tijuana and Media Arts Center San Diego for a FREE, hands-on Poster Design Workshop — typography, color, and file prep, taught by AIGA’s VP, Special Projects, and Mexican-American designer Máximo Escobedo.

In-person or Virtual Workshop: Saturday, September 12, 9 am–12 pm, at Media Arts San Diego – Room 321. 

Virtual Office Hours on Monday, September 14, 5–8 pm. Whether you’ve never touched a design program or you do this for a living, come create your best entry for the 34th San Diego Latino Film Festival poster competition.

AIGA SDTJ was very excited to partner with CETYS Universidad Ensenada, and facilitate a Workshop to Understand and Strengthen Graphic Design in Ensenada. 

With the help of 12 talented local graphic designers, we were able to have an in depth conversation about the current state of design in Ensenada. And working together, identify the areas where AIGA can help and support the craft and designers. We will share findings soon.

We thank Diana Robinson and her colleague at CETYS Ensenada Scalia Mellink for helping make this happen.

This is an ongoing project. And this is the first of many workshops we hope to host in San Diego, Tijuana and Mexicali.

Our AIGA chapter is connected to a large network of designers, producers, directors and business owners.

Thanks to the generosity of Coyne, AIGA SDTJ has been able to serve over 1200 youth in San Diego through our LINK program – breaking down barriers to creative education for students who have a passion for design.

An intensive and immersive academic program where local and international students, along with professors from around the world, come together for two weeks to attend classes, participate in cultural activities, and build international networking connections.

Join the ISP at CETYS university Ensenada in baja California Mexico and be part of an experence that will uplift your career, Classes , Industry vistis and Cutural activities in an internatioal ambiance, with International professors and students.

Scholarships available for all students from AIGA related School or Colleges. NO tuition nor registration fee.
