AIGA Hike: Elfin Forest, Escondido

Fairy sightings are possible on this four-hour hike following an intricate network of up and down trails crossing creeks and passing through thick, lush groves of chaparral, the “Elfin Forest” for which the reserve is named. Leaving the enchanted forest behind we make it up the “Way Up Trail”. Appropriately named it travels up for a little over a mile, when our efforts will be rewarded by an inspiring view, a snack, and a new friend or two.

Afterward, if you have the time, head over to the Stone Brewery in Escondido with us to enjoy a draft and a meal.
