When: Saturday, July 1 at 9 a.m.
Distance: 4 miles (3 hours)
Difficulty: Easy
Elevation Change: 0 feet
Dog-Friendly: No
Scenery: Beach

Note: If you just haven’t ventured this far south, you will have a unique experience where two countries meet. It is interesting and educational but more than that, it is a delightful way to spend a relaxing morning surrounded by the breeze, the beauty of the sea, and fellow creatives.

While we will walk right by the US-Mexico border running into the ocean, it is not allowed to walk up to it. However, close up access is possible at the nearby Friendship Park, which boasts views of the Playas de Tijuana, Mexico. Just bring your picture ID and we will take turns going in (US border patrol only allows a certain number of people in the park at the same time)

Address: 1245-1271 Monument Rd, San Diego, CA 92154

Turn right (west) and proceed 1.3 miles on Monument Road to the Border Field State Park entrance gate. Park in the lot near the south side of the entrance gate.
