Join us for a moderate 3-hour hike conquering not only one, but two mountains. Don’t worry, the side trip to the lesser visited Pyles Peak is an easy 2-mile addition that branches off from the summit of Cowles Mountain.
All levels of experience, age and fitness are welcome. Seriously, we will take it slow on this 6-mile out and back trip, enjoying the outdoors and having good conversations.
Meet up on Saturday morning, April 23, 9 a.m. at the trailhead located at the intersection of Golf Crest Drive and Navajo Road. Please park in the parking lot or curbside on Golfcrest, then meet at the trailhead. Parking is free. Look for the AIGA sign!
Please wear good shoes, bring water and a snack, and remember that you hike on your own risk. Dogs are allowed, but must be kept on a leash.
Parking is limited so we encourage carpooling. If you are interested, email firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know where you will be coming from.
From Interstate 8: exit College Ave, go north for about 1 mile. Turn right on Navajo Road and continue 2 miles east to Cowles Mountain Trailhead, located on the intersection of Navajo Road and Golfcrest Drive. (type in Maps: Golfcrest Dr & Navajo Rd)
See you on the trail!
