View a living treasure map for the eyes!
Bring your bike and ride with fellow creatives as AIGA San Diego takes to the streets for a fun community event. Come outside with us to enjoy the sunshine and a scenic public tour of murals displayed on many of the buildings in La Jolla Village.
At 8:00am, we’ll meet at the iconic Wisteria Cottage at the La Jolla Historical Society on Prospect Street with plans to start our ride at 8:30am. Riding our bikes north along the ocean, we’ll tour “The Murals of La Jolla,” a public art display from the Athenaeum Music & Arts Library that brings energy and vitality to the community. Our tour will be led by Patsy Marino, chair of the Art Advisory Committee for the murals project.
A southward “loop” on the streets along the way will lead us to the Museum of__ inside the Quint Gallery around noon to view the 3 Italian Steel Bicycles exhibit by local design leader, Ron Miriello (7655 Girard Ave. La Jolla). Please note that after the ride, there are many restaurants and shops worth visiting in the area.
This community ride will be capped at 20 registrants, so snag your spot to join in!
Safety Requirements: Participants must sign a waiver form at check-in, and bring the following items: Bike, Helmet, Portable Water Container and Colorful Vest or Clothing to stand out.
Optional suggestion to also wear Mask, Sunblock, Sunglasses and Hat, and bring your own snack.
