June 26 Sustainable Practices Meeting
Kari Fry, representative from Mohawk Paper presented "Are Sustainable Substrates Sexy"? She held a round table discussion about how to make the right sustainable choices on your client projects. There are many ways to implement sustainability in your design practice. Implementing the AIGA Living Principles is a comprehensive approach. Adding the correct "green" logo to your project and calculating your CO2 savings as well as water, trees, etc. make the designer's work even more meaningful. Keeping print in your media mix gives you ROI and a trackable mechanism for sustainable savings. Attached please find the information links that will enable you to apply these practices. Thank you to Mohawk for developing this information and releasing it to the AIGA.
