WHAT DOES AIGA LIVING PRINCIPLES, SANDAG VAN POOL, & SD&GE’S ENERGY INNOVATION CENTER HAVE IN COMMON?

They all promote energy conservation which improves our San Diego community.

Experience what it’s like to Van Pool (think carpool but only in vans) by taking a short trip aboard a SANDAG Van Pool from Balboa Park to SDG&E’s Energy Innovation Center, one of San Diego’s first LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) platinum buildings open to the public. Once at the center, you’ll learn about some of SDG&E’s brightest ideas during a 45-minute tour, which will feature the latest in green technologies in design and energy efficiency. This interactive center was recently opened to help educate and inspire energy conservation within the San Diego community.

Agenda:
2:15 pm > SANDAG Van Pool departs promptly from Balboa Park
2:45 pm > Arrive at SDG&E’s Energy Innovation Center
2:45 pm - 4:45 pm > Tour of Energy Innovation Center, and Class Room Presentations with a Q&A
4:45 pm > Depart Energy Innovation Center by Van Pool or car [optional]
5:15 pm > SANDAG Van Pool arrives back at Balboa Park

Along for the trip will be special guest speaker, Peggy Cooper, known by SANDAG as the longest Van Pool commuter in San Diego. Her Van Pool group has been featured in news stories and by SANDAG. She will present her individual and entertaining story about commuting to work.

This event will also include snacks and refreshments, a SANDAG Van Pool presentation, and other information to inspire brighter ideas for brighter communities.

To register for the Van Pool, please register by May 22 to reserve your seat.

To register for the SDG&E’s Innovation Center Tour and presentations only, please register by May 24th

You are welcome to drive to the Energy Innovation Center yourself, however please arrive by 2:45 PM. Parking is free.

Light snacks and beverages provided; reusable drinking cups for the first 6 people who sign up. Make sure to collect your Living Principles event button pins.
