Hike North Fortuna Mountain | AIGA San Diego Tijuana

1,349 feet of ascent, 3.5 hours of outdoor fun, 5.4 miles away from any screen … join us on a hike up North Fortuna Mountain, located in beautiful Mission Trails Regional Park. Time to finish the AIGA 5-Peak Challenge!

All levels of experience, age and fitness are welcome for this moderate to strenuous 5.4 mile/3.5 hour loop. Once we arrive at the top, we'll take an awesome peak photo, then enjoy the view with tasty granola bars.

2. Meet us on Saturday morning, December 10, at 8 a.m. at the Mission Dam parking area. Look for the AIGA sign!

3. Please wear good shoes, bring plenty of water and a snack. Remember that you hike on your own risk. Leashed dogs are allowed. Note: Bring your inhaler if you are asthma-prone!

4. Parking is limited, so we encourage carpooling. If you are interested, email membership@sandiego.aiga.org and let us know where you will be coming from and we'll hook you up with other drivers.

Detailed Directions:
From I-52:
Take the I-52 and exit at Mast Blvd, turning left, then right onto W Hills Pkwy. Turn right onto Mission Gorge Road. Then turn right onto Father Juniper Serra Trail and continue to the Old Mission Dam Parking area (located approximately .5 miles west of the campground).

From I-8:
Take the I-8 and exit on Waring Rd. Turn left onto Waring Rd heading North. After 1.4 miles turn left onto Princess View Drive. Then turn right onto Mission Gorge Road. Stay on Mission Gorge Road for 4 miles passing the Visitor Center. Turn left onto Father Juniper Serra Trail and continue to the Old Mission Dam Parking area (located approximately .5 miles west of the campground).
