AIGA San Diego's LINK program is in need of volunteers to help out with design workshops during the months of August through June. Volunteering with LINK is a great way to make a difference in the life of an aspiring designer and you may even learn a new technique or two at one of the workshops! AIGA Green Salon Design Showcase: Call For Entries
Hey, AIGA San Diego! Show off your sustainable design that rocks! Green Salon and Lorem ipsum invite you to submit your sustainable designs to be showcased in a future issue of the newsletter. Please include an image of your design as well information on your resources/materials, printer, production, energy spent, and anything else we should know about your "green" design.
Mail samples to: Angela Hill, Incitrio, c/o Green Salon, 1095 Sorrento Valley Road, Suite 2C, San Diego, CA 92121.

Interested in helping out with design projects for AIGA San Diego? The chapter is looking for design professionals or firms willing to donate time for special projects on an as-needed basis.
Send an e-mail to Communications Chair Nick Cottrell at nick@istitch.net with a sample of your work or a web site link to be added to the chapter database.

Looking for your 15 minutes of fame? Submit an original design for the Lorem ipsum banner and have your work seen by more than 300 AIGA San Diego members.
You may have noticed the banner designs of recent Lorem ipsum issues have corresponded with the theme of that issue. If you're interested in submitting a design, send an e-mail to editor@aigasandiego.org with "Banner Submission" in the subject line to find out what the theme will be for the next issue.

As the Y Design Conference grows in international stature, so does the need to have individuals carry on our cherished event. If you have attended the conference in the past you've experienced firsthand the incredible devotion and effort it takes to make the event happen year after year. * Banners submitted must be a 550 x 100 pixel jpg or gif. No animation or Flash; only jpg or gif will be accepted. File size must be less than 20k. * In the body of the email, include your name or your firm's name and a link we can use to credit you.
* You may use any photos, illustrations, or other legal images you'd like.
* Banners cannot promote a design firm, designer, or any other organization.
* You must use the "Lorem ipsum" title and subhead, "We speak your language."
* We encourage submissions that creatively represent our local design community.
* Lorem ipsum preferably uses a capital "L" and lowercase "i."
* Submit as many ideas as you want.
* You must be a current AIGA member.
